If I am a Crow
If I am a crow,
Then what are you?
“I think I’m a bluebird, kind and sweet.”
“A symbol of joy, with happiness you greet.”
“A melodic call, for what more could I ask.”
-you better hope it lasts-
If I am a bluebird,
Then what are you?
“I am a crow, I told you already”
-the first time I’ve ever felt steady-
“A symbol of sorrow? A harbinger of hell?”
“But also of hope and well wishes. All in one breath”
“Not when you scare most people to death!”
-thanks for the reminder-
If I am a crow,
Then you must hear my caw.
“Leaving most feeling drained, raw”
“ I know your song is beautiful, sets others at ease.”
“And the crow’s is jarring, not even tonal.”
- but is that really a reason for me to stay solo-
“Crows are flexible, harbingers of change.”
“Death is an end. Unproductive I’d say.”
“But change is the star that brings light to the day.”
All I ask is that you consider the crow and how it moves,
When have you sat to mourn a friendship that you were happy to lose?
A lover who doesn’t know who they are quite yet?
Just someone who wants to change their major, better yet?
We could all take some advice from the crow.
Recognize the bad, but accept the change.
What is an actor without range?
If I am a crow,
Then what are you?
-Someone who needs a change of view-
